How to repost or reopen a job

Sometimes, life happens, and you may need to revisit or reopen a job that was either canceled or expired. Don’t worry! SkillScoop makes it easy for you to get your job back in front of specialists when needed. Here’s how you can repost or reopen your jobs with just a few clicks:

Reposting a Job

You can repost any job you’ve previously created on SkillScoop, as long as it’s no longer active. Jobs with an “Open” or “In Progress” status cannot be reposted. Once a job has expired, been canceled, or marked as “Completed” or “Not Completed,” you have the option to repost it.

To repost a job:

  1. Go to “My Jobs”
  2. Find the job you want to repost
  3. Click “Repost Job”
  4. Edit the Job Details: After clicking “Repost Job,” the job details screen will open up with the information you originally provided, pre-filled. This gives you a chance to update or adjust any part of the listing before reposting.
  5. Publish the job

Reopening a Cancelled or Expired Job

If you’ve cancelled a job or it expired – but you still need help, you can reopen it within 30 days of cancellation. Reopening a job preserves all the quotes you’ve already received, saving you time and effort while letting you connect with specialists again.

To reopen a job:

  1. Go to  “My Jobs”
  2. Find the expired job
  3. Click “Reopen Job”
  4. Publish the job again

After reopening, your job will be visible again for 30 more days, and any previous quotes will remain intact.
