When you post a job on SkillScoop, it remains active and visible to specialists for 30 days — giving you plenty of time to receive quotes, chat with specialists, and choose the right person for the job.
What happens after 30 days?
If you haven’t selected a specialist within 30 days of posting, the job will automatically be cancelled and marked as expired. This helps keep the platform up to date and ensures specialists are only seeing jobs that are still available.
Already chosen a specialist?
Once you’ve selected a specialist, your job won’t expire. It stays active so you can continue working with your chosen specialist and mark the job as completed or not completed when it’s finished.
Still need this job done?
If your job expires but you still need help, you can reopen it within 30 days — and any quotes you previously received will still be there.
Here’s how to reopen your job:
- Go to “My Jobs”
- Find the expired job
- Click “Reopen Job”
- Publish the job again
After reopening, your job will be visible again for 30 more days, and any previous quotes will remain intact.
