Navigating ‘My Jobs’ page

Your ‘My Jobs’ page is your personal dashboard for tracking and managing all the work you’re involved in on SkillScoop. Whether you’ve sent a quote for a job, have already been selected and are actively working on it, or have posted a job as a client, this page helps you stay organised and in control.

Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll find and how to make the most of it:

Switching Views

In the top-right corner of your My Jobs page, you can switch between two views:

  • I’m a Client: View jobs you’ve posted as a client.
  • I’m a Specialist: View jobs you’ve sent a quote for or are currently working on.

This toggle lets you easily switch between roles to manage your activities from both perspectives.

Filtering Jobs

To help you quickly manage your projects, you can filter your jobs by different statuses:

  • Open – Jobs you’ve sent a quote for, which are still live and accepting quotes from other specialists.
  • In Progress – Jobs where you’ve been selected and work has started.
  • Archive – Jobs that are no longer active or where you haven’t been selected. This includes:
    • In Progress – Jobs where you weren’t selected but work has started.
    • Completed – Jobs that are finished and marked as Completed.
    • Not Completed – Jobs that have been marked as Not Completed.
    • Cancelled – Jobs that were cancelled by the client or expired.

Filtering your jobs helps you quickly focus on the ones that need your attention.

Viewing Job Details

When you click on any job, you’ll be directed to the job’s page, where you’ll find all the key information you need:

  • Job Description: A detailed overview of the job, covering all the specifics.
  • Quote Details: Your pricing and any relevant information about your offer.
  • Client Details: Click on the client’s profile to access their contact information.
  • Private Chat:  Start a private chat with the client by clicking “Send a Message”
  • Similar Opportunities: Links to similar job posts to help you explore more options.

On the Job Page, You Can Also:

  • Update Job Status: Once work begins, mark the job as Completed or Not Completed (Direct Payment method only).
  • Leave a Review: After completing the job, leave feedback to share your experience.
  • Access Milestones: If you’re working on a Hassle-Free job, you’ll see a Milestones button on the job page. Clicking it takes you to a dedicated Milestones page where you can view all the milestone details.

Managing Quotes

You have the ability to edit or delete your quote depending on the job’s status:

  • You can edit your quote if the job is still in the Open status.
  • Once the job moves to In Progress, you can no longer edit your quote, but you can delete it.

With the My Jobs page, you can easily stay organised, track your job statuses, and manage your quotes, whether you’re working as a specialist or a client.
