Navigating ‘My Jobs’

The “My Jobs” page is your go-to space for managing all the jobs you’ve posted on SkillScoop. Whether you’re keeping track of open projects or reviewing completed ones, this page helps you stay organized every step of the way. Here’s how to make the most of it.

Switching Views

In the right top corner of the My Jobs page, you’ll see a toggle that lets you switch between:

  • I’m a Client  – Jobs you’ve posted as a client
  • I’m a Specialist – Jobs you’re working on/sent quotes to as a specialist (if you’re offering services too)

For now, let’s focus on your posted jobs.

Filter by Job Status

To help you quickly manage your projects, you can filter your jobs by different statuses:

  • Open – Jobs that are live and accepting quotes.
  • In Progress –Jobs on which specialist has been selected and work has started.
  • Completed – The job is finished and has been marked as Completed .
  • Not Completed – The job has been marked as Not Completed .
  • Cancelled – The job was cancelled by you or expired.

Filtering by status allows you to quickly focus on the jobs that require your attention.

Job Details

Click on any job to open its details page. From there, you can:

  • View Job Information – See your original post, timeline, and job requirements.
  • Edit the Job – Make changes (only before receiving the first quote).
  • Cancel the Job – Cancel it if you haven’t chosen a specialist yet.
  • Boost the Job – Give your job extra visibility if you’re not getting the responses you want.
  • Update Job Status – Once work is underway, you’ll be able to mark it as Completed or Not Completed when it wraps up.

Managing Quotes

From the job details page, you can switch over to the Quotes section:

  • Review and Compare – See all the quotes specialists have submitted, including their price and message.
  • Send a Message – Click “Send a message”on the quote to open a private chat with that specialist. This is a great way to ask questions, share files, and discuss the job in more detail before making a decision.
