How to post a job

Posting a job on SkillScoop is quick and easy. Simply share what you need done, and specialists can send you quotes to help you get it sorted.

Start creating your job

There are two ways to start posting a job on SkillScoop:

Option 1: Click “Post a Job”
Click the “Post a Job” button in the header, then choose a category and subcategory that matches your job.

Option 2: Use the search bar
Type what you need help with into the search bar. As you type, you’ll see suggested services. If something relevant appears, select it and we’ll automatically prefill your job title, category, and subcategory.

Add your job details

To get the best results, provide clear and detailed information when creating your job.

• Job title – Write a short and descriptive title so specialists quickly understand what you need.
  
• Category & Subcategory – Choose the most relevant option to help your job reach the right specialists.
• Location – Select where the job needs to be completed.
• Timing – Let specialists know your preferred timeframe.
• Description – Explain what needs to be done, anything important to know, and what you’re expecting.
• Budget – Add your expected budget, or select “Open to offers” if you’d like to receive quotes based on specialist pricing.

Choose your payment option

SkillScoop offers two ways to pay for your job:

• Direct Payment: You arrange payment directly with the specialist using your preferred method.
• Secure Payment (Hassle-Free): Your payment is securely reserved through our payment provider and released once the work is completed and approved. Secure Payment also includes additional features such as milestone payments and dispute assistance.

Review and publish your job

Before publishing, review your job details to make sure everything is correct. Click “Post a Job” to publish your job and make it visible to specialists. Once your job is live, specialists can view it and send quotes.

You can then compare quotes, chat with specialists, and choose the right person for your job.

Boost your job for more visibility

If you want to get more quotes faster, you can boost your job. Boosted jobs appear higher in the list, making them more visible to specialists and helping you connect with the right people sooner.

You can boost your job when publishing or anytime later from your Job Dashboard.
