Understanding how and when you’ll get paid is key to having a smooth experience on SkillScoop. Whether you’re working with direct payments or Hassle-Free Jobs, knowing the process ensures everything runs smoothly.

Direct Payment Method

For jobs with direct payment, you and the client agree to handle payment independently, outside of the SkillScoop platform. Once the work is completed to the client’s satisfaction, payment is made directly using a method of choice (e.g., bank transfer, cash, or a third-party payment app).

Here’s how it works:

  • Discuss Payment Terms: Before you start working on the job, you’ll need to discuss the payment method with the client. This includes agreeing on how you’ll receive your payment (e.g., bank transfer, cash, etc.) and when you’ll receive it. It’s important to be clear about these details upfront to avoid confusion later.
  • Agree on Payment Schedule: Decide whether it’s a one-time payment after completion or multiple payments. Make sure both parties understand the timing.

Hassle-Free Jobs

For Hassle-Free Jobs, SkillScoop offers a secure payment. Payments for these types of jobs are handled securely through Stripe.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Bank Account Details: You provide your bank account details during account verification on SkillScoop. This is where your payments will be sent. If you need to update your bank details, please email us and we’ll provide a secure link to make the update.
  2. Payments Reserved via Secure Processing:The client funds each milestone before work begins, and Stripe securely holds the funds. This gives both you and the client peace of mind.
  3. Completion and Release of Payment: Once you complete the milestone or job, the client reviews your work. If everything meets their expectations, the payment is released directly to your bank account via Stripe.
  4. Payouts Timeline: The very first payout is typically available within 7–10 calendar days after the client releases payment, due to Stripe’s initial review for new accounts. After the first payout, future payments are usually processed faster, typically within 2–3 calendar days, provided no additional checks are required.
