Understanding how and when you’ll get paid is key to having a smooth experience on SkillScoop. Whether you’re working with direct payments or through Hassle-Free Jobs, knowing the process ensures everything goes smoothly.

Direct Payment Method:

For jobs with direct payment, you and the client agree to handle payment independently, outside of the SkillScoop platform. Once the work is completed to the client’s satisfaction, payment is made directly using a method of choice (e.g., bank transfer, cash, or a third-party payment app).

Here’s how it works:

  1. Discuss Payment Terms: Before you start working on the job, you’ll need to discuss the payment method with the client. This includes agreeing on how you’ll receive your payment (e.g., bank transfer, PayPal, etc.) and when you’ll receive it. It’s important to be clear about these details upfront to avoid confusion later.
  2. Agree on Payment Schedule: Make sure you agree on how and when payments will be made. Will it be a one-time payment after job completion, or will there be series of payments? Be sure to set expectations around the timing of payments as well.

Hassle-Free Jobs:

For Hassle-Free Jobs, SkillScoop offers a secure payment. Payments for these types of jobs are handled through our platform, using Stripe, a secure online payment system.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Bank Account Details: When you’re verified on SkillScoop, you’ll provide your bank account details during the verification process. This is where your payments will be sent.
  2. Payments Held in a secure account: For Hassle-Free Jobs, client will fund each milestone before any work begins and the funds will be held in a secure account. This gives both you and the client peace of mind that the money is set aside for your work.
  3. Completion and Release of Payment: When you complete the milestone or job as agreed upon, the client will review the work. If everything meets their expectations, they’ll release the payment from a secure account, and it will be sent directly to your bank account via Stripe.
  4. Payment Timeline: You’ll receive a notification once the payment is released. It typically takes a few business days for the funds to reach your bank account.
